Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager, Risk Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Dulles, Virginia.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's risk management team with primary responsibility for managing risks within the NGIS business sector. The successful candidate will report to Northrop Grumman's director of Aerospace Insurance and work closely with the corporate risk management team. Interpersonal skills will be required to build strong relationships with executives, operational and finance teams across business units to create a proactive risk identification process and to understand and evaluate new business opportunities and developments. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and edit contracts and sales agreements to assist defense, launch and spacecraft business capture and contract professionals 
• Gather and evaluate property, cargo, aviation liability and revenue information to assist Corporate Risk Management to renew insurance policies 
• Assist with the placement of launch and in-orbit insurance to cover space risks 
• Assist with the adjustment of occasional space, property, cargo and general liability claims 
• Process premium invoices, premium adjustments, and certificate of insurance requests 
• Forecast sector level premium cash payments 
• Coordinate with accounting, government compliance and other departments to ensure proper capture and accounting for insurance related costs 
• Collaborate with Safety and Environmental Compliance and Facilities personnel for general loss prevention including fire inspection of properties, pollution liability sites and worker safety

 

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree and 7 years of corporate risk management, property, casualty, or aviation insurance experience OR 5 years and a Masters

Preferred Qualifications:
• ARM and/or CPCU Certifications

• Bachelors Degree and 9 years of corporate risk management, property, casualty, or aviation insurance experience OR 7 years and a Masters
• Aviation and Space liability experience desired 
• Government Contracting experience is helpful. 
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills a must.
