Executive Search Associates is engaged in a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will be a member of the Executive Management team. This is a chance to oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities of the organization. The CFO will also oversee the information systems of the facility. This is an opportunity to create a system to gather and analyze data regarding the hospital's financial operations to optimize the revenue cycle and reduce expenses.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor with a 'servant leadership' style are crucial to the success. Character, Competency, Passion, Humility and a commitment to customer care along with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders to bring about meaningful results are key. You'll need to seek input, make corrections and recognize patterns that lead to effective decision-making and actions while holding yourself 100% accountable to achieve results. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Master’s degree in Accounting preferred. Current CPA preferred.
  • Ten (10) years progressive experience in financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end closing, preferably with a hospital, healthcare organization or consulting firm with significant experience in hospital financial matters required.

Essential Functions

  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting methodologies and be skilled at creating and implementing new and innovative solutions for complex and varying problems and situations.
  • Highly strategic as well as hands on, detail-oriented and metric driven.
  • An intelligent and focused problem solver. Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills and the ability to devise and execute pragmatic financial and business solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization partnering cross-functionally and exercising influence at all levels to achieve the goals and strategy for the enterprise.
  • Knowledge of state/federal labor laws and regulations required, including CMS regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, EMTALA, Medicare fraud and abuse, Stark regulations, state licensing regulations and other rules pertaining to financial areas of the hospital.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity and confidentiality
