We are seeking an entrepreneurial, self starting, team oriented executive who can help lead our overall Talent and HR effort. Talent is the life blood of our business - particulaly analytics, data science and software.

Formal Job Description:

We are looking for a Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead our HR department.

CPO responsibilities include designing and evaluating career paths, overseeing all HR functions including talent acquisition and crafting strategies that meet our business goals. Essential Functions

  1. Proven people management and leadership skills:Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters. Ensure HR plans align with our mission and business objective.
  2. Manage the creation of our employment brand and successfully lead efforts to effectively bring our brand to the market. Skilled at recruiting with the ability to match cultural and environmental fit, in addition to technical skills and experience fit.
  3. Build a data-driven recruiting organization, including analytics and metrics, to support our overall company objectives.
  4. Innovate hiring methodologies through identifying unique and non-traditional sources for finding candidates. Develop recruitment strategy. This may include job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, talent planning, etc. Develop end to end undergraduate and graduate college recruiting programs.
  5. Work with internal teams and hiring managers to assist with recruitment efforts. Assist with both external and internal hiring efforts (internal recruitment - meaning assessment of employees for different or more senior roles.).
  6. Deliver on target staffing plans and partner closely with management and Finance to ensure headcount and hiring activity tracks to the hiring plan. Identify future talent needs and proactively recruiting and sourcing; develop talent pool or social engagements.
  7. Provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers and HR professionals with hiring and employment data, interview techniques and evaluation criteria. May develop specialized or competitive intelligence and research in regard to talent development or retention.
  8. Manage the recruitment process and lifecycle, including initial assessments, interviews, and offers. Counsel the candidate on corporate benefits, salary, and corporate environment.
  9. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance. Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  10. Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed. Analyze the effectiveness of our HR procedures and tools.
  11. Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
  12. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  13. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
  14. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  15. Promotes inclusion in the workplace and reinforces our position as an equal opportunity employer.
  16. Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization. Formulates career development plans. Evaluate training and development programs.
  17. Maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.
  18. Supervises the staff of the human resource department.
  19. Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.

Requirements

·       Work experience as a Chief People Officer, VP of HR or similar role

·       Experience in strategic planning

·       In-depth knowledge of all HR functions

·       Hands-on experience with HR software

·       Skilled at recruiting

·       Good understanding of labor legislation

·       Excellent leadership abilities

·       Communication and problem-solving skills

·       BSc/MSc in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or relevant field

·       Certification like PHR and SPHR is a plus
