For over 20 years, the BizBuySell network has been the Internet’s leading resource for buyers and sellers of small businesses. We are looking for a Content Quality Specialist to join our team in our beautiful downtown San Francisco office. In this role, you will provide essential support for our industry-leading business-for-sale marketplaces: BizBuySell and BizQuest. You will also assist with operational and reporting tasks needed to support the business.

BizBuySell’s Customer Success team is dedicated to making BizBuySell a safe marketplace for buyers and sellers to conduct business. The Customer Success team is on the front lines of enhancing our user’s experience, building our brand, and promoting our company policies and procedures regarding use of our platform and listings posted to our websites so that we can maintain our strong market position well into the future.

As a Content Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support for broker and owner subscriptions, reviewing, analyzing and approving listings and removing inappropriate listing content from our websites. In this role, a candidate is expected to review business for sale listings, review suspect leads, questionable listing content, and investigate user-reported misconduct claims to ensure the highest degree of compliance with our Terms of Use and the integrity of the listing content on the platform. A successful candidate will be able to integrate with our Customer Success team to effectively police our website successfully by fighting fraud, spam, and inappropriate content in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be someone that is an excellent and motivated puzzle-solver, a good written and verbal communicator, and possess strong conflict resolution skills, keen attention to the details and an interest in technology and the Internet, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment. The candidate should be extremely comfortable with speaking to customers on the telephone and be able to proactively obtain information relative to ongoing investigations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years in a client/customer service environment
  • Extremely detail oriented-need to know how to connect the dots from many different data points
  • Customer service oriented, patient and able to deal with challenging clients and situations
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Articulate with a pleasant telephone voice
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues and find resolutions quickly
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player that is also able to work independently
  • Experience using web-based tools, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • College degree preferred
