Your Focus
Equifax is looking for a Data Wrangler to join our Fraud Rules and Strategy team. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects across multiple internal products, such as workforce solutions and consumer services.

You will assemble and evaluate data such that new insights, solutions, and visualizations can be derived. You will develop a deep understanding of analytical needs in order to enable Equifax data assets, big data technologies, keying and linking concepts to analyze Equifax Internal and External data to create insights. You will interact with multiple levels of people including Data Stewards, Analytics professionals, and IT. You will support the creation of analytic systems which allow for fast, flawless and reliable reporting and greater productivity for the Equifax Fraud Rules and Strategy team. You have a proven educational foundation and ability to balance delivery of near-term results that are aligned with the long-term vision and roadmap. You will be detail-oriented and a fast learner in order to work with all Equifax's major data assets and a rapidly changing technology environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will lead and execute activities to support all aspects bringing new data sources.
  • You will collaborate extensively with Technology to design data ingestion, data models, and automated operational metrics for consistent high-quality data loading.
  • You will develop strategies, standards, and standard methodologies in the areas of data wrangling, data visualization, and data integration and lead adoption
  • Ensure quality, coverage and accuracy of data in the Equifax Big Data environment by performing analysis to measure the quality of data. Validate data quality content in conjunction with respective data stewards by developing reports and tools to monitor and visualize data.
  • You will analyze new sources of data to quantify quality, uniqueness, coverage and overlap with Equifax sources.
  • Perform analysis and integrate Equifax, customer data, and third-party data to solve unique analytical problems.
  • Develop and Collaborate extensively with Data, Analytics, and Technology leads to ensure the seamless consumption of insights generated from Equifax's new big data analytical platform.
  • Stay ahead of with rapidly developing Big Data technologies landscape and share knowledge with both internal and external customers. Prototype and integrate tools into Equifax Big Data environment and lead the adoption of tools through Data and Analytics.

Requirements

  • 5 years of solid experience in data management, keying and linking, data handling and data wrangling
  • Solid ability to handle and interpret a wide variety of data formats and types
  • Strong data analysis skills including skills to rapidly learn new data assets
  • Data Analysis technology skills and experience required: SAS, R, SQL, etc…

Big Data experience, Hadoop, or parallel processing optimization

  • Experience and knowledge of Data Visualization concepts and experience with tools such as Spotfire or Tableau
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent quantitative field with a heavy emphasis on programming.
  • Superb communication skills with the ability to lead training and adoption of new tools and technologies
  • Strong analytical skills for effective problem solving
  • Excellent collaboration skills with a dedicated approach to sharing knowledge with peers and multi-functional teams.
  • Independent, creative, and nimble with the ability to overcome obstacles to solve the hardest problems
  • Flexible and responsive with the ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority
