We are seeking a talented Director, Brand and Content Marketing to establish and oversee execution of brand and content marketing strategy for CO-OP Financial Services, a payments and financial technology company created by and for credit unions. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing and Brand Strategy, the role requires a nimble and innovative thinker, adept in all areas of marketing and with a deep experience in how marketing and branding can position the company for future growth.

What You Can Look Forward To

  • Leads ongoing content marketing strategy, working closely with VP Marketing & Brand Strategy as well as other key stakeholders to plan content editorial calendar in alignment with company strategy and market trends.
  • Serves as key member of the THINK Conference content team, responsible for establishing and supporting conference content strategy.
  • Creates, maintains, trains, and evangelizes content standards, including but not limited to the corporate editorial style guide and channel-specific guides, content models, editorial calendars.
  • Partners with data team to measure content performance and gain insights to improve content strategy.
  • Oversees social media strategy to drive awareness and engagement across all content and marketing/PR activities.
  • Oversees the application of the CO-OP brand in written and visual formats.
  • Consults with product marketing team on product branding, ensuring that product naming and branding fits under the established brand architecture.
  • Acts as brand steward, responsible for managing brand alignment within organization.
  • Leads and mentors team members, ensuring responsible area is staffed with highly motivated and skilled professionals who will contribute to the company’s overall success.
  • Establishes positive working relationships and trust with other senior and executive leaders within the MX department and across the organization.
  • Act as supervisor to direct reports.
  • Perform annual performance reviews.
  • Interact on a daily basis to inform decisions and set strategic direction based on each function.
  • Display strong leadership skills in order to lead team to success in achieving both marketing and company-wide goals.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing, or related field preferred; and/or 8 – 10 years related experience required.
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Proven marketing and leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Mastery in marketing strategy development and execution across all channels: digital, print, direct, social, and other emerging channels.
  • Strong knowledge of content marketing, media and brand management fundamentals and strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of brand strategy and execution.
  • Strong understanding of B2B, B2C and B2B2C marketing strategies.
  • Adept in all areas of content marketing, including SEO strategy, social media strategy, storytelling and editorial process.
  • Outstanding written & verbal communications skills as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions on a frequent basis, remain flexible and able to react quickly to change.
  • Collaborative in working with colleagues and vendors. Exceptional collaborator and influencer - ability to engage with multiple stakeholders (marketing leads, sales, merchant points of contact, operations, finance, growth, product, senior management) and quickly build relationships needed to accomplish program objectives.
  • Skilled at conflict resolution and negotiation, able to set clear expectations and demand high performance for self and others.
  • Able to inspire and motivate teams and individuals, and able to identify attract, develop and retain top talent.
  • Demonstrates, and values accountability, cooperation, integrity and open communication.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a structured yet adaptable work-style - able to work well in a fast-paced team environment while having a focus on quality, and good attention to detail.
  • Adept in online and traditional marketing, and highly skilled in visual communications.
