Job Purpose

The role of Risk and Controls Lead Analyst is to assist the Manager in establishing and implementing the controls strategy for the GBE transformation project. The individual will play a key role in partnering with project workstreams to identify key risks and mitigating controls to be developed and implemented into the new solutions and processes. They will also be accountable for maintaining the team's controls documentation for each system release. Operating in a complex system implementation environment, the individual will need to collaborate colleagues across the program to ensure strategy is aligned with the Project's goals and Agile Methodology. The Lead Analyst will also work closely with the Business Readiness teams to ensure our Gas colleagues have been informed and trained on new controls so that the controls will be implemented effectively.

Key Accountabilities

Work collaboratively with the GBE project team as well as the broader US Gas Business to identify the key risks in the solution and processes.

    Assist in the design of effective key controls to mitigate risks. (Manual business process + automated/ITGC controls)

    Engage workstreams to validate controls within their processes and identify control owner and operators.

    Track testing of controls through E2E or UAT testing environments and help Business readiness teams prepare training documents.

    Use of project management skills to lead tracking and reporting of progress through a suite of tools used by project.

    Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

    Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Proactive self-starter with ability to manage own and team workload, to time and desired levels of quality.

    Ability to challenge the status quo.



    BS in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering or equivalent experience

    7+ years demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems

    Demonstrate ability to develop strategic solution for complex problem

    Demonstrate excellent organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects of significant scope.

    Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document and organize.

    Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally to the organization; may include presentation skills.
