Responsibilities

Perspecta is seeking an experienced project manager with expertise in Project Planning/Scheduling. The successful candidate has experience from high level schedule management to detailed project schedule support. This individual will work for a major VA EHRM application testing organization working with various applications to include but are not limited to re-hosted, VistA legacy, Cerner Millennium, COTS/GOTS integration with VistA legacy and others. Support will specifically include overall project planning for systems architecture and systems integration activities with significant emphasis on testing and integration with external components, ensuring smooth interaction and maximum efficiencies. Candidate will actively participate in collaborative meetings with the VA Testing Services (TS) customer, TS teammates, VA project teams and other key stakeholders. They are responsible for the following:

    • Preparing regular Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) updates and reports for program management, customers, and/or business management personnel
    • Monitoring progress against scheduled activities and identifying performance variances to facilitate focus on critical areas as well as developing and implementing work-around or recovery plans.
    • Timely preparation and submission of contract deliverables related to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
    • Ensuring that all schedules and contract deliverables are fully compliant with internal policies, customer, and industry requirements
    • Identifying program issues and risks and rapidly identify mitigation strategies.
    • Use analytical and investigation skills to provide input on issues, risks, schedules, obstacles, including tracking and reporting on performance progress.

 

Qualifications

Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.

Expertise in Primavera, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Viseo

Experience Working With VA As a Project Planner/scheduler Preferred

Must be able to achieve a VA Position of Trust
