As a key member of the Finance team, the SVP Finance and Global Controller manages all global accounting functions including month end close, worldwide financial consolidations, annual audit, tax, payroll, A/P and A/R. The SVP Finance and Global Controller will manage global financial teams in San Diego (Headquarters), Paris, Tokyo, and Minsk.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing financial materials for the leadership team and Board of Directors, providing effective access to information for appropriate staff and business partners, and taking the lead in financial best practices.
  • Lead global accounting teams- hiring, training, and mentoring staff using a supportive and collaborative approach; assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
  • Oversee financial and operational issues related to the company’s international subsidiaries located in France, United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Minsk and Hong Kong.
  • Responsible for preparation and execution of balance sheet and cash forecasts.
  • Responsible for supervising annual audit process and preparing adequate materials for CFO and Audit Committee.
  • Lead current G/L conversion from Intacct to Workday financials
  • Present financial information to senior management on a monthly basis. Also, review and discuss the company’s financial performance and projections with potential customers evaluating the company as a vendor.
  • Responsible for researching, developing and documenting technical accounting issues and presenting the implications to the CFO and CEO (i.e. revenue recognition, capitalized software, VIEs, etc.)
  • Responsible for overseeing the internal control environment on a global basis and continually reviewing such controls and processes to improve and create efficiencies.
  • Work with the CFO in building relationships with investors and analysts, understanding and anticipating their inquiries, in order to address them proactively in the company’s disclosures, presentation, and discussions.
  • Oversee Treasury, investments, and insurance programs.
  • Serve as the financial representative in reviewing agreements with customers and vendors.

Education, Experience And Skills

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in a senior level accounting position at an organization with global commercial activities.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of automated financial data and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects .
  • Proven track record of success facilitating organizational change and development within a growing organization.
  • Excellent judgment and creative program solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
