We are seeking a talented Vice President, Technology Advisory to oversees technical advisory, technical integration, and release management functions for CO-OP Financial Services. The technical integration team will have three main functions. The first function is to build a client billable advisory services through subject matter expertise and with an enterprise lens to drive technology integration strategy and assessments for clients. The second function is to drive the technology strategy through the creation and maintenance of technology roadmaps for internal business units. The third function is release management. This function provides separation of duties from the application development teams with oversight into how applications and released into CO-OP ecosystem.

The Vice President will ensure that technical integration points and enterprise systems throughout the organization aligns with the strategic vision of the company. This position is accountable for the delivery of technical advisory services.

What You Can Look Forward To

  • Manages, coordinates and prioritizes the schedules, projects, and activities of direct reports.
  • Manages performance, development, and salary of direct reports.
  • Develops the team structure to align to the organization, managing and developing existing staff as well as recruitment.
  • Leads the technical advisory and integration team in planning, execution and delivery of SME support, research and analysis, and release management. Help the team makes progress, remove impediments and guide them to the successful integration of technology across the enterprise and aligned to client technology environments.
  • Owns the technology solution for the client as part of client project technology delivery including the technical documentation of customer installs.
  • Builds a tech of technical advisors that are able to pre-sell and consult with clients in a consultative manner to use CO-OP offered solutions and products.
  • Evaluates technology portfolio for the organization, with an end-to-end view of enterprise applications and their inputs and outputs and interactions. Develops each department’s technology roadmap in partnership with that department’s senior leadership.
  • Leads advisors, integration analyst, engineers, and architects supporting different products or lines of businesses. Directs and guides the managers, reviews different project requests, timeline and cost.
  • Develops, distributes, supports, enforces, and integrates best practices and technology standards across the organization.
  • Partners with sales and product departments to ensure client growth and successful adoption of CO-OP technology.
  • Develop and operate team(s), its roles and responsibilities, processes, roadmaps, and service catalog.
  • Ensures that standards, policies, and procedures are documented and followed and that technology applications are available, secure, and operating optimally.
  • Work with IT and Business leaders to manage and set priorities, workflow, and documentation for the support team.
  • Day-to-day support of goals defined by the overall business plan, the strategic technology plan and the Senior Leadership of the company
  • Escalation point for internal or external clients in regards to their most difficult issues.
  • Represents technology delivery and support team in key meetings and teams, cross-functional teams and management meetings.
  • Directs developmental efforts of application development teams to provide leadership to department and staff for Performance Management, Learning Plans, and Informal & Formal Coaching & Development of Management & Staff.
  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Completion of high school, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Business, or related field plus minimum of ten years in a business or technology management role within the financial services technology industry, or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Consulting background or extended experience in presenting and advising internal and external stakeholders in technology strategy.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems.
  • 5+ years previous payments industry or financial services.
  • 10+ years of experience working with multiple vendor and channel partners.
  • Proficient knowledge of industry tools (e.g., capability models and roadmaps, process models, interaction diagrams, use cases, business cases, cost/benefit and ROI analysis).
  • Solid understanding of business operations and the key business drivers.
  • Ability to become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
  • Experience facilitating large, cross-functional work groups.
  • Experience operating in a highly collaborative environment with a strong ability to influence.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Office and Visio.
  • Good to excellent understanding of entire product ownership and development process.
  • Good to excellent understanding of release management and software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in both Agile software development & ITIL.
  • Highly collaborative; strong communicator, natural integrator with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver products and solutions for customer needs.
  • Takes a consultative approach in providing overall direction, guidance and definition of products and services within related segments.
  • Ability to rally and gain backing from internal stakeholders in order to build organizational support for the proposed solution.
  • Ability to interface with clients to direct their integration efforts with CO-OP in order to ensure successful implementation and usage of CO-OP technology.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining strong, productive working relationships and external customers.
  • Ability to understand in depth, analyze, and select current and emerging technologies that are pertinent to customers.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills at multi-product/multi-environment level to troubleshoot system defects and mitigate the issues they cause.
  • Expert skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation. Understanding and awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express and document complex technical concepts in business terms. Person must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with technical staff, non-technical staff, end-users for requirements gathering, testing, training, and outcome validation. Good English-language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent ability to lead, train, mentor and help others.
