Cathy Ross, president and co-founder of Fraud.net, joined a Mastercard Panel Discussion: In Solidarity – Work and Wealth in Black America

NEW YORK, June 9, 2021Cathy Ross, president and co-founder of Fraud.net, sat down with MasterCard and Blavity, Inc. in a panel to discuss resources and skills needed by young black entrepreneurs called In Solidarity — Work and Wealth in Black America. In doing so, Ross joins the fight with MasterCard’s commitment to help close racial and ethnic disparities and create a catalyst for economic growth in Black communities. Across the country, black entrepreneurs are struggling to gain access to capital, bank loans, and business resources. Closing our racial wealth gap and address long-term inequities becomes vital.

In this panel, Blavity has teamed up with MasterCard and friends to support its In Solidarity commitment to combat systemic barriers to equitable growth and opportunity. This virtual event features local industry and community leaders in a discussion on how to bring change to the city.

Through a series of panel discussions, speakers, Cathy Ross included, identify concerns that contribute to the wealth and opportunity gap issues, as well as resources to combat systemic barriers to equitable growth and opportunity.

Among the other speakers featured are U.S. Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, Wole Coaxum, Founder and CEO of Mobility Capital Finance, Regina Gwen, Co-Founder of Black Women Talk Tech, and David Clunie, Executive Director of Black Economic Alliance.

Together, we stand against racism and remain committed to creating equal opportunities within local communities across America.
